Coober Pedy is famous for Opal mines. It's a small city with around 2000 people and 80% of them are still living underground.
It was REALLY hot (around 38 degrees) without any shadow !

This city is also famous for some movies turned over there, like Mad Max.

Our first van was too crapy to be able to cross the desert. We got an other one a lot more safe !!

We got Wilpena during the night after an amazing sun set. Wilpena is a beautifull place full of kangoroos in the beginning of the desert.
Few hours of track (in thongs) to reach the hilltop and enjoy the landscapes !!

Then, time to go through the deep desert and salt lakes.

Hello people, The blog haven't moved much since a while 'cause our last trip is just over. Pretty hard to get time to write.

Anyway, let's start to make you dream about Australia !

With Andre we rented a car to Victor Harbor and met some people on the road. Then, we stayed in Paul and Fiona's house for one week. We met Paul last year in Denmark during our studies and kept contact. During this time we enjoyed his fantastic house and tried to find a job in some farms around. Unfortunatly we got only one day of work in a winnery. Paul is used to welcome people from overseas and share his house. Only one rule... paint a record.

A lot of kangoroos (dead or not) around. This one missed his jump. And something we belived was a myth, they really can box each other as a cartoon.
